Patient Transport Service

The Lighthouse Vets offers a patient transport service for stable pets, designed to support pet owners and referring practices when travel is difficult or when a direct transfer is preferred.

This service is ideal for:

  • Owners who may struggle to travel to us
  • Referring veterinary practices wishing to send a stable patient directly to The Lighthouse

 

⚠️ Please note: this is not currently an emergency ambulance service. Unstable or critical patients must travel with their owner or referring vet as appropriate.

How it works

  • Transport is provided in our 7-seater Mazda, configured to comfortably carry up to two dogs and two passengers
  • Driven by a trained member of our team
  • Will is available on call 24/7 to provide transport when arranged in advance

Pricing

  • Up to 45 minutes travel (e.g. Portsmouth, Chichester): £50 each way
  • Up to 60 minutes travel (e.g. Southampton, Guildford): £75 each way
  • Over 60 minutes travel (e.g. The Lighthouse to Optivet South London): £120 each way
